Le Thi Phuong Thanh

My full name is Le Thi Phuong Thanh and I was born in 1989. I grew up in a small village of Quang Nam province. I have a big family with seven members including parents, two sisters, one younger brother, one younger sister and myself. Our childhood is associated with paddy fields because my parents are farmers.

During almost the whole year round, although my parents toil and work hard in the fields under sun and rain to support their children, our life was still really hard. Some of my siblings had to stop their studies and their dream and work as hired laborers to earn money. By understanding my family’s hardships, there is always a determination in me to study well so as not to disappoint the expectations of my two sisters and parents. From a young age, I enjoyed being a teacher and I tried to pass the entrance exam to Quy Nhon Education University with a major in education. After graduating, I had six years of experience teaching at Ly Tu Trong High School, Thang Binh, Quang Nam.
By chance, I got to know about GIBTK through my friend. I felt very excited and impressed by the organization's activities for less-fortunate children. Then, I knew the organization was recruiting for a Physics-Math teacher. I decided to submit my application and after the interview, I became a member of GIBTKs. I would like to say thank you so much to GIBTKs because I have learned a lot of experiences, life skills and completed myself through interesting training courses that I can not learn anywhere else. Moreover, the happiest thing is that I have felt the joy and happiness of the children. I love their childlike innocence that seems to strengthen me. Therefore, I can confidently step on the path I have chosen.
